After 36 years in business, Squire John’s continues to be one of Canada’s leading ski and snowboard shops. We are passionate about skiing and show it season after season by offering only the best products and support services to our customers.
Located less than a minute from the hill, we test every product we carry before we buy it to ensure we offer customers the best possible product mix the ski industry has to offer. Below is just a small selection of what's new and worth getting excited about for this winter:
Volkl AC50
Dimensions intended for freeriding make the AC 50 the "Big Boss" of the UNLIMITED series. Whether the pistes are icy, groomed or covered in deep powder – skiers with the AC 50 can rely on stable, top-quality performance anywhere and any time. Thanks to the new iPT Wideride, the first fully integrated ski binding system specially designed for all-mountain skis, the width of this premium model is no hurdle to great handling on-piste.
Salomon Tornado Ti
The powerful and precise one-ski-quiver for all terrain. Most powerful chassis on-piste. Good ski snow/contact. Stability and natural behavior on all terrain
Fischer Progressor 9+ Flowflex
For piste all-rounders. The high-performance ski with 70 mm waist. Sandwich Sidewall Construction with 0.5 double Titanal shell, wood core and Dual Radius System for perfect turn initiation on all slopes.
Volkl Tigershark 12ft.
Even without power switch the TIGERSHARK is a high-tech ski par excellence. Its combination of the latest in premium components offers an unbeatably compact riding feel. The sporty set-up is ideal for athletic skiers who are comfortable on all terrains and who like to move fast. The 12 FEET also has a broad geometry to offer good pop in deep snow.
Rossignol Radical R9S World Cup Oversize & Radical R9X World Cup Oversize
Racers and technical skiers seeking an agile, powerful ski that releases its energy in tight turns. Built with the same WC sidecut and construction but with wider, oversized waist.
OVERSIZE = POWER CONTROL
Combines two ski construction ideas: carving skis with large sidecut, and wide-waisted freeride skis. Oversize takes the benefits of both shapes and crosses them, allowing for strong performance with ease of control. The aggressive oversized tip & tail dimensions of the carving ski produce precision, strong edging, and power. The wide waist dimension of the freeride ski increases stability and helps tame the strong sidecut. The OVERSIZE skis offer extreme manageability and comfortable control from turn to turn.
Dynastar Contact 4x4
Dynastar has modified its Contact line of on-piste skis with two new models for this season. Dynastar has wisely noticed that most people ski in bounds most of the time so their new models reflect that reality while at the same time offer exciting performance for advanced skiers. Generally, the new skis are mid-fat underfoot but have serious shape for serious carving performance. 4x4 features race construction and feedback from World Cup racers. This model is aimed at satisfying customers that spend 70 percent of their time on groomed slopes but want one ski to enjoy a variety of conditions.
Dynastar Contact Groove
The latest addition to the new Contact Series from Dynastar is the Groove. It features the same turn radius as a World Cup slalom ski but with more versatility and skiability. The relatively narrow waist puts Groove squarely in slalom territory as well as groomed snow territory. No heliskiing on these babies but if the specs live up to their promise the Contact Groove will be a lot of fun ripping the frontside.
