Our Georgian Bay area has some of the best mountain biking in Ontario. With numerous trails to choose from, all suited for different skill levels, styles and of course weather conditions. Come in and pick up trail maps for the more popular spots in the region, or get general directions to the trailhead below.
3 Stages
(about 40km of trails)
From technical, rocky descents to long smooth lines, 3 Stages has loads of riding for all ability levels. Not recommended the day after rain, as trails tend to be quite wet, especially the lower you ride along the escarpment. Located just minutes from Squire's. Follow Grey Rd #19 (Osler Bluff Rd) up the escarpment, turn left onto 2nd line and follow the gravel road until the dead end. Park and Ride.
Loree Forest
(about 10km of trails)
Smooth, easy riding, in a big loop, with an excellent view of Georgian Bay. Located about 15 min from the store. From Blue Mountain Rd, follow Scenic Caves Rd. up the escarpment, and continue west to 15th side Rd. Turn right onto 4th Line and follow (about 5min) until you locate large gravel road on right, heading up into the woods. Park here, ride along gravel road for about 1km and pick up the singletrack loop here.
Georgian Trail
The Georgian Trail runs between Collingwood and Meaford in Ontario's principal ski country. It is very pleasant and well worth visiting. The trail is 35 km long and is constructed with fine granular that should give no difficulty to bikes with even the thinnest tires. It starts on the west side of Collingwood and runs south of Hwy 26 to almost Thornbury. There are glimpses of Georgian Bay to north, and the ski hills frame the trail on the left.
Kolapore
(about 50km of trails)
Get that Ewok feeling, racing through the forest. Great riding, and well marked. Pick up a trail map at the Ravenna General Store. Located about 20min from Squire's. Follow Grey Rd #19 (Osler Bluff Rd) up the escarpment and along for about 15min until the stop-sign. Turn left onto HWY 2 (turn right for Ravenna - 5min), and look for 'Skiers Parking Lot' on left after the first curve. Enter trails across the road.
